For years, Domaine de l’Idylle has been committed to sustainable agriculture that respects the environment and biodiversity. We are proud to announce that this commitment has been certified: we are now recognized as an estate with High Environmental Value !

The High Environmental Value Certification certifies that:

• We promote biodiversity by preserving the untouched areas of any agricultural activity. These rest areas consist of hedges, trees or even ditches for example.
• We engage alternative practices free from the ecosystem of the land where we grow our vineyard and produce our wine.
• We participate in the conservation of the beauty of wine landscapes for example by naturally weeding our vineyard: the grass, the flowers and the vines thus form harmonious and balanced panoramas in our soils
• We are attentive to all our viticultural practices with a view to minimizing our impact on the environment by preferring, for example, mechanical tillage rather than chemical techniques. The intervention on the vineyard is done if it is necessary.

After 40 years at the head of the estate, Philippe takes a well-deserved retirement, he leaves his place to Sylvain but will always be present.

Come and taste our different wines in a warm atmosphere !

The 2017 vintage is a great quality for a small harvest. After the spring frosts, the sunny and warm summer allowed the grapes to reach optimum ripeness. The harvest, early this year, began on September 5 with the harvest of crémant. We finished 1 month later with the harvest of Mondeuse d’Arbin. The whites of the 2017 vintage are very aromatic with a nice freshness. The 2017 red wines are characterized by great finesse and pronounced fruit expression. Our Arbin 2015 vintages are at their optimum maturity for drinking.

Many activities are on the program of this open cellar to discover our wines and our vineyard in a funny way.

• Saturday, a Segway® ride to discover the Cruet hillsides in an original way:
  • Departure 11h, 14h30 and 15h30 reservation at 06 01 21 04 08.
• Nathalie, François’s daughter, will offer children pony rides in the field (Ecurie de Coise). The small animals of the farm will be there too.

During this weekend you can also visit the cellar and understand the wines development, and, of course, enjoy the traditional diots at the marc from Mamie Fernande.

Winter pruning is an important step which limit the excessive growth of the vine and will condition the 2018 production. We select the number of buds per vine and the future structure of the vinestock. This work is entirely manual and require a lot of experience.

2017 Crémant

Harvest start with the Crémant de Savoie. Grapes are very ripe and well balance.

Hot and sunny summer give great reds. On the Cruet and Arbin hillsides the Mondeuse grapes reach perfection.  The medals and distinctions are here to prove it :
