Independent Winegrowers Show 2024 / Paris Portes de Versailles

We are pleased to announce that we will be present at the Salon des vignerons Indépendants in Paris , from 28/11/2024 to 01/12/2024 at the Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles. This event will be an opportunity to discover our organic Savoie wines and to chat with us. You will also have the opportunity to taste our latest vintages, including some particularly anticipated vintages this year.

As part of the Fascinant Weekend, our cellars will be open on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20. We are delighted to welcome you throughout the weekend at the estate.

Come and discover the beautiful 2024 vintage, quietly fermenting in our cellars. 😊

Weekend program:

• Cellar tour and discovery of the secrets of winemaking: both days, every hour from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. + tasting of the 2024 wines currently in the process of fermentation.
• Tasting of our wines from the 2022 and 2023 vintages, accompanied by the traditional diots (sausages) cooked in grape marc.
• Saturday evening & Sunday noon: Dine on-site! François offers you the “Sharing Board” of Charcuterie/Cheese for €12.

We are planting a new Mondeuse vine on the Arbin Cru. Within three years, these young plants will give their first grapes. The terroir of Arbin is located on limestone scree. This draining soil eliminates excess water and produces concentrated grapes. In dry years, the roots of the vines are able to go deep into the soil to find water.

The event “La Bel’via Bicyclette” is made for you.
On a route between lake, vineyards and mountains, with your favorite bike (tandem, tricycle or even electric bike).

For its first edition, the Bel’Via Bicycle offers you a 27 km route and nearly 350m of difference in altitude, using the V62 and the vineyards road.

If the laces to go up to the Castle of Miolans, a medieval fortress, will require some energy, its visit as well as the refreshments and the view that it offers on the combe de Savoie and the surrounding massifs will reward your efforts.

The route continues with a visit to the Domaine de l’Idylle where we will prepare a wine and chocolate tasting session for you! Then there will be stops at a wine nursery and a stop at the Domaine de Méjane in Saint Jean de la Porte.

Come and taste our Roussette 2017, they are currently at optimum maturity and are characterized by aromas of fresh hawthorn and apricot.  Mondeuses 2017 express themselves with intense notes of violet and white pepper.

In our cellar, the production of the 2018 vintage ends naturally. The very ripe grapes announce rich and atypical wines. Fortunately, the freshness of the alpine nights has retained some acidity in our whites.

In our vineyards, life goes on tirelessly; still no rain and the sun continues to shine: the vines are growing quickly.

We hope to see you again soon at the Domaine!

This spring we plant a new variety on the estate, the Persian. A forgotten Savoyard grape, this variety produces very fruity wines with a fine finesse. The first bottles will be tasted in 2022 (it will be necessary to be patient).

The harvest continues under a radiant sun, after the warm summer our grapes are very ripe, the 2018 vintage promises to be rich and atypical. Fortunately, the freshness of the alpine nights has retained some acidity in the whites.

Currently the team is active in the vintage of Roussettes and Mondeuses.

You are welcome on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 October at our open doors to taste this new vintage in preview !

For years, Domaine de l’Idylle has been committed to sustainable agriculture that respects the environment and biodiversity. We are proud to announce that this commitment has been certified: we are now recognized as an estate with High Environmental Value !

The High Environmental Value Certification certifies that:

• We promote biodiversity by preserving the untouched areas of any agricultural activity. These rest areas consist of hedges, trees or even ditches for example.
• We engage alternative practices free from the ecosystem of the land where we grow our vineyard and produce our wine.
• We participate in the conservation of the beauty of wine landscapes for example by naturally weeding our vineyard: the grass, the flowers and the vines thus form harmonious and balanced panoramas in our soils
• We are attentive to all our viticultural practices with a view to minimizing our impact on the environment by preferring, for example, mechanical tillage rather than chemical techniques. The intervention on the vineyard is done if it is necessary.
